Come, Now Is The Time To Worship

Click on the above title to watch a wonderful flash presentation of "Come, Now Is The Time To Worship"

Tell The Devil Today...

Tell The Devil Today

Tell the devil today, he is liar! He will not take your joy, your peace or disturb your spirit.

Tell him he cannot sleep in your bed - there's not enough cover.

Tell him he cannot sit in your chair - you will not give him a cushion of comfort.

Tell him he can't touch your body - it's covered with the blood of Jesus!

Tell him he cannot audit your finances - you've changed accountants!

Tell him he cannot enter your home - the locks have been changed.

Tell him to leave your workplace - he's not on the list of things to do today.

Tell him to take his hands off your children - because you've had hands laid on them.

Tell him you have no time for nonsense, criticism, or fears - you are on a mission, and you walk by faith.

Tell him no more tears, heartaches or headaches - because there's another, He that restores our soul.

Tell him. Tell him. Tell him. Tell Him.

Tell him, today, you have a gentle, powerful inner peace within, that consumes you and leaves no room for confusion.

Tell him, today you will respond soothingly to a crying child, a tense spouse, or an impatient friend.

Tell him, today, you will find no fault with a relative, friend, or colleague.

Tell him to leave your tongue alone - for today you will not talk of anyone, before placing God at the beginning of your thought.

Tell him, wherever you are, that God is.

Tell him, God said, " My people will abide in a peaceful habitation.. and in a quiet resting place." (Isaiah 32:18)

Today, Tell him he is a liar!

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. " (John 16:33)

And while you are making these statements of faith and fact, try reading the devil his rights just like the police do for anyone they arrest!

1. You have the right to remain silent

2. You have the right to a fair trial - to be given you by the saints of God right before we collectively drop-kick you into the pit of hell forever.

3. You have the right to know that not only anything you say but anything you do CAN and WILL be held against you.

You get the picture I'm sure.

Now will you all excuse me while I do a bit of shouting all over my house?

Joyfully!

God bless and REMEMBER WHO IS IN CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE!

"Bring Me The Babies"

I received this in an email today and thought it was beautiful! I have no idea who the author is, unfortunately.
~~~~~~~~~~
Bring Me the Babies
Bring me all the babies
That want to go to sleep,
Or those who want to pat-a-cake,
Or ones with cheeks so pink.
Bring me the crying babies,
To sing away with song,
To soothe away their cares and fears.
(They won’t be babies long.)
Time slips away and yesterday
Is, suddenly, distantly passed.
It walks so quiet, by your side.
We can’t make time last.
Babies love the melodies
And vibration of our voices.
Oh, bring me, quick, the babies
Before they have other choices!
Bring me the hugging babies
That just have learned to give a kiss.
The sweet slobbery little kisses
I’d never want to miss.
A big bear hug would bring me down
And I would rock for hours.
A lovable, sleepy, baby is
Far better than cut flowers.
Lord, give me a song for the babies, on earth,
That have heard the sounds of war.
Let me hold them on my lap
And sing 'til the fighting’s o’er.
Let me quiet their little hearts
And send all their fears away,
Teach them the Name of Jesus,
And, especially, how to pray!
Verses
There are a couple of verses that have really been speaking to me the past week. I thought I'd share them here.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Now the God of all grace who has called you according to His glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little. 1 Peter 5:10
Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. 2 Corinthians 7:1
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you Ephesians 4:30-32
Happy Birthday to me :)
Well it happened, my birthday showed up anyway. Jason and I were able to spend an evening together at Opryland Hotel. We both left our cell phones so after we were seated for dinner, I went looking for a payphone to call my mother and let her know exactly where we were and how she could get in touch with us if she needed us since she was watching the kids. When I came back to our table, I lifted up my napkin to put back in my lap when I noticed a jewelry box under the napkin. It took 16 years, but my dh was finally able to surprised me...lol. It's a beautiful double necklace with a cross embellished with crystals and then a single large crystal that hangs either above or next to the cross, all on a double platinum chain. The amazing thing is that it goes perfectly with Leigha's friendship bracelet :). I will post a picture of the necklace later.
My mother gave each child a card for them to sign and give me today. Each card had some money in it too (YAY!) so the kids really felt like they were doing something for me. Now, to actually use it on myself and not pay bills....this will be difficult.
So I have been very blessed this birthday, for sure. I was spoiled rotten, and loved it! I'm a very lucky gal :0)
What a nice surprise
Well as much as I try to make it not happen, apparently I'm going to have to turn another year older soon. Leigha came over today to spend some time with me for my birthday. She came bearing gifts too. She brought a friendship Bible study that I'm really looking forward to doing with her. She also brought a beautiful friendship bracelet. It's really hard to describe so I've posted a picture of it below. She also brought a beautiful birthday card as well. The most touching thing she did was create a scrapbook of the big things that have occurred in my life since we have started talking again. It must have taken a very long time to do. I was very touched!! That's Leigha though. She is always doing such thoughtful and wonderful things!!
Thank you very much Leigha!!
Tuna Pasta Salad Recipe
This is a recipe that I have modified from a Marilu Henner recipe called TV Guide Tuna. It serves 2 and is 6 points, per serving, according to WW.
2 oz. Barilla Plus pasta (I used rotini)
2 cans Light Tuna in Spring Water, rinsed and drained.
4 Tbsp Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise
2/3 cup cooked frozen green peas (I use Cascadian Farms organic)
Combine all ingredients, serve warm or let cool a while in the refridgerator.
As Rachael Ray would say...."Yumm-O"
Weight Watchers
Ok, I have had ENOUGH of being over weight. I'm tired of doing "fad" diets only to have some success and then go on some kind of eating binge. I was able to take off over 30 pounds after Zachary was born and kept it off for 2 years. I stayed between 116 and 120 for those 2 years. I did this by eating low-fat, whole foods and exercised (step aerobics) 3-5 times a week. Then I was put on anti-depressants and gained 20 pounds in 2 weeks. It's been all downhill from there. My first crash diet was Atkins. Boy was it nice to eat full fat foods and lose 1-2 pounds A DAY. Of course it got rather disgusting rather quickly. I've been on and off dieting ever since. I now have over 50 pounds to lose...blech!
So, as of today, I am starting WW. I'm using the online program instead of attending meetings. Since their eating plan is very similar to how I originally lost the weight, I feel pretty confident that this will work. Eating consistently throughout the day and eating reasonable portions are my biggest problems. Plus, just staying consistent "on plan" is a huge problem for me.
So wish me luck :)
The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2
When it get's too quiet....
If I've learned one thing as a mother, when it get's too quiet chances are somebody is up to something they shouldn't be. Here are some pictures of Katie as she decided to take imaginary play up to a new level.
